If you have a Maxi Sys Pro or a Maxi Sys Elite with a current update and update subscription and internet connection , you should have VW programming capability from off the tablet from files downloaded from Autel's server. I think if you get a used ABS module of same part #from the same year, model and equipment level, I would think you would at least be able to edit the VIN. I certainly would not want to trash an expensive new module downloading files off a Chinese server, but certainly give it The Ole Chinese University Try with a used one.
